Ashley Young Wants Buy Out Clause In New Contract

Ashley Young has impressed for club and country having joined Aston Villa from Watford in January 2007. Tottenham Hotspur boss harry Redknapp tried to sign the winger in the summer but Villa rejected the bid. Young is currently renegotiating a new contract at Villa however the winger wants to put a buy out clause which will enable him to leave the club for around £14m.

Aston Villa are not keen on the idea however if they fail to agree a new deal the winger will be able to leave on a free at the end of next season. Villa signed the winger for £8m and would make a tidy profit if he were sold for £14m.
