Premier League Transfer News: Tottenham Could Still Sign Beckham

Harry Redknapp was impressed with David Beckham after the midfielder trained with the squad during the break in the MLS and after failing to land the midfielder Harry Redknapp may move for him  in November when he is out of contract.

Redknapp has also praised Beckham for helping his squad.

“The ball that Van der Vaart hit for Crouch to score, David hit about seven of them the other morning,” said Redknapp. “It was like he had radar on the ball and Crouchy kept heading them in the goal.

“I kept saying to my players ‘ That’s what I’ve been asking you to do, lads’ and it worked. David goes back to Los Angeles on February 9 but I would love to have had him playing for us. He’s looked great in training and he’s been fantastic.

“He’s a top class bloke. He comes in, works hard every day and has been great around the place. He’s so slim and so fit and he’s a fanatical trainer.

“He works in the morning and the afternoon as well in the gym. He just loves playing football. He could be at home now, sitting around the pool. I’m sure he has a decent-enough semi in Los Angeles, but he’s over here wanting to play football.

“Most footballers would want to be in Los Angeles. But that’s what has made him what he is. He wants to keep playing, even though he’s already a mega-rich man. He just loves the game.”

“Is it something we would consider in November?” he said. “Yeah, it could be. You would love to have him at your club. I love the way he plays.”
