Birmingham City vs West Bromwich Albion: Premier League Preview

Birmingham City will be in high spirits after a causing a huge upset last Sunday and beating Arsenal in the FA Cup final and qualifying for the Europa League.

Birmingham have had a mixed season so far they stand just 2 points above the drop zone and after a disappointing lose to Newcastle on their last Premier League outing Alex McLeish will want his squad to give the same type of performance displayed against Arsenal.

Birmingham will be without keys defenders for the clash however reports claim that McLeish is keen to field Zigic and Martins in attack after the two combined to score the winning goal in the cup final.

West Brom are always involved in the relegation battle when they return to the Premier League and are just 1 point above the drop zone so a win for Roy Hodgson side is crucial if they want Premier League survival.

Roy Hodgson joined the Baggies after a difficult spell at Liverpool but will now have an arguably more difficult challenge as he looks to keep West Brom in the Premier League for another season.

West Brom have not won any of their last 6 games and Roy Hodgson will have to install belief in his squad if he wants to beat a very high spirited Birmingham side.
