Arsenal vs Sunderland: Premier League Preview

Arsene Wenger will want his side to put in a good performance against Sunderland later today after seeing them under perform against Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger will be without key players van Persie and Cesc Fabregas for the tie however he hopes to have Fabregas fully fit to face Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Arsene Wenger is likely to field Bendtner and Chamakh after the pair scored goals against Leyton Orient in midweek to complete an impressive 5-0 win and progress past the 5th and face Manchester United.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce will want his squad to cause an upset and beat an Arsenal side that have look among the best in the league this season. With the good performances from Henderson and Danny Welbeck in recent weeks Bruce may opt to field the youngsters for this trick encounter with Arsenal.

Sunderland are currently 8th but are only 9 points from the drop zone and Steve Bruce will be urging his side to cause an upset and beat Arsenal today after his side have failed to win in their last 4 games.

Arsenal will be favourites for this clash they play very well at home and with the great passes in the team such as Nasri they way complete a very impressive win.
