Although a handful of teams will have something to play for this coming Sunday at 4pm, Sir Alex will have his mind firmly on the Uefa Champions League final. Will Sir Alex rest many of his first teams Stars? Well of course he will and who can blame him! The Premiership title is already won so why should United risk their stars players against a Blackpool side that will be fighting for their survival?

There is no doubt that United face an extremely tough task against an extremely strong Barcelona side.  It is fair to say that United were trounced by the Spanish team the last time they met in the 2009 final, with Barcelona easing to a 2-0 victory. This year’s final is though at Wembley. Even Arsenal have managed to beat Barcelona in London this year so all is far from lost.

Many football pundits suggest United have not been in top form this year but although that may be the case they have easily won the league title. Of course United do have the flair that is in abundance in the Barcelona team but I still believe that United do have the beating of their Spanish counterparts.

Sir Alex is a tactical genius plus will want to avenge the events of 2009. Barcelona will be odds on favourites come the final with United priced around 11/4 by many bookmakers . I for one for be lumping on United to out battle Barcelona to add yet another trophy to the United trophy cabinet.
