Gala Coral have made no secret of the fact they are taking to Playtech in regards to using their award winning gaming software. Coral Gala, to say the least have been lagging behind their competitors such as Rank Group and William Hill, with many Analysts blaming the actual software platforms the Gala Coral group are using.

Coral Poker is a prime example as it currently uses the OnGame software platform which many poker players simply do not like. Playtech of course have the Ipoker network which was the biggest online European network and only bettered by PokerStars and Fulltilt. During recent weeks both Pokerstars and Fulltilt stopped accepting US players due to action taken by the US Government.

Reports suggest that Gala Coral could possibly make a statement later this week regarding a deal struck with Playtech. It is expected that Coral will indeed move its online poker operations to Ipoker plus also move their bingo operations to Playtech’s Virtue fusion platform.

The online bingo sector in the UK has become extremely saturated with now hundreds of online bingo sites available to UK players. UK online bingo players simple shop around finding the best promotions and best game lobbies. Many feel Gala Coral need better platforms for their online bingo and poker operations to fight off extreme competition. News of a software deal with Playtech would be a big step in the right direction for the struggling Gala Group.
