Tottenham Set To Swoop For Didier Drogba

Tottenham boss, Harry Redknapp, looks set to swoop for aging Chelsea goal machine, Didier Drogba.  If rumours are to be believed, then Drogba will be one of the first casualties when Chelsea start a major team rebuilding program this summer.

One of Spurs major problem areas last season was their strike force with all their top 3 strikers, Crouch, Pavlvuchenko and Dafoe failing to reach a double figure goal tally in the Premier League. To be fair to Defoe, he has returned from injury which has severely hampered his season.

Defoe could be one of the first to leave Tottenham this summer as it seems by all account he is not happy at Tottenham claiming he has been treated unfairly being left on the sidelines when he feels he should have played.

It is believed that Drogba is keen to stay in London so would look favourably on an approach by Spurs. Should though Spurs be looking to sign aging stars such as Drogba who are bound to want a six figure weekly pay check?

Many feel that Dafoe still has a few good seasons in him, as he is proven goal scorer not only in the Premier League but in an England shirt. Surely Redknapp will not let him leave?
