Manchester United Manager has started to clean house, possibility to make room for some new summer signings. He recently let defenders Wes Brown and John O’Shea leave Old Trafford and head to fellow Premier League club Sunderland, managed by ex-Man United defender Steve Bruce. Terms of the deals weren’t released.

Meanwhile Stefan Savic went from Partizan Belgrade to Manchester City and signed a four-year deal with the English club. The fee for the 20-year-old Montenegro international defender was also undisclosed. City also signed 25-year-old defender Gael Clichy of France, who was playing for Arsenal, for a fee of about seven million pounds. However, City may lose top scorer Carlos Tevez as he’s started crying again that he wants to leave.

Everton picked up teenager Eric Dier on loan from Sporting Lisbon for the upcoming season.

Goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi left Bolton Wanderers for Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee and Jamie O’Hara left Tottenham Hotspur for Wolverhampton. Goalkeeper Scott Carson was let go by West Bromwich Albion and ended up in Turkey with Bursaspor.

As far as English Premier League rumours go, Manchester United has been linked with Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko and Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder from Real Madrid.

Fulham has supposedly agreed to buy former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise from Roma and Cesc Fabregas is still being linked with a move from Arsenal to Barcelona and several teams are reportedly interested in Arsenal’s Samir Nasri, including both Manchester clubs. Manchester City may also go after Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero if Tevez finally leaves. Arsenal also wants to sign Gervinho if possible and Karim Benzema’s name has also been mentioned at Arsenal.

Wolves’ Kevin Doyle supposedly is interesting Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger. Blackburn has made an offer to Monaco for defender Cedric Mongongu and Newcastle is hoping to land Neil Taylor of Swansea and striker Shane Long of Reading. Notts Forest has inquired about Newcastle winger Wayne Routledge though.

Liverpool is reportedly on the verge of signing Scottish midfielder Charlie Adam from Blackpool for eight million pounds. They’re also looking at goalkeeper Alexander Doni of Roma and winger Stewart Downing of Aston Villa. Liverpool winger Joe Cole could be loaned out to West Ham for the season if a deal can be made. West Ham may also end up selling striker Carlton Cole to either Stoke or Queens Park Rangers.

Spurs didn’t renew the contract of injury-prone Jonathan Woodgate and he’s now a free agent. Spurs are hoping to hang onto midfielder Luka Modric, but Chelsea and Man United are still interested in buying him. It looks like Porto striker Falcao will stay in Portugal instead of joining Chelsea.

Bolton defender Gary Cahill is in high demand with Spurs offering up to four players for him. Several other teams are also interested. Spurs and Arsenal are also interested in Spanish Under-21 international Juan Mata of Valencia.
