As long as four-time NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning is under center in Indianapolis, the Colts will be perennial Super Bowl title contenders. Next season will be no different as long as the Colts sign Manning to a lucrative extension that makes him one of the highest paid players in the league. Rumor has it that the Indianapolis Colts plan to make him the highest paid player in the NFL, but the running back position will be up in the air as Joseph Addai could leave via free agency.

Even though Joseph Addai might be on his way out via free agency, the Indianapolis Colts will have a viable option in free agency with some talented running backs available. One of the best options for the Colts might be Reggie Bush. With the New Orleans Saints possibly on the verge of releasing the controversial running back, Bush could be looking for work and the Indianapolis Colts could be his best option.

Not only would Reggie Bush be the perfect addition to the Indianapolis Colts moving forward, but Peyton Manning’s offense would flourish with a versatile running back like the former USC Trojan coming out of the backfield. With Bush being a running back that can be just as dangerous as a receiver as he can be on the ground, the Colts would love to bring him in if it is for the right price.

The ball is in the Saints court right now though as Bush’s fate is up in the air. If New Orleans does release him though, Indianapolis will almost certainly be interested in retaining his services.
