Arizona Cardinals One of Few Teams After Free Agent Braylon Edwards

After last season, the Arizona Cardinals realized that some drastic changes needed to be made as it became clear without a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback this team was going nowhere. It doesn’t help that the best player on the team is a wide receiver and is practically worthless if he can’t get the football from the quarterback.

The quarterback position was a revolving door last year for the Arizona Cardinals as Derek Anderson and Max Hall gave it a shot and both played miserably. This time around the Cardinals may have finally gotten the quarterback that might be able to this team back on track offensively. Now that the Arizona Cardinals have acquired quarterback Kevin Kolb via trade from the Philadelphia Eagles, this team has a quarterback that might be able to lead them into the future, but they will need some more weapons at his disposal in the passing game.

With wide receivers Randy Moss (retirement), Plaxico Burress (New York Jets), Zach Miller (Seattle Seahawks), Santonio Holmes (New York Jets) and Sidney Rice (Seattle Seahawks) off the table in free agency, the Arizona Cardinals will have to look in another direction with Braylon Edwards being their best option.

Malcom Floyd could also be a solid option at wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals, but it seems that the team is targeting Braylon Edwards at this point in time. Apparently, star wideout Larry Fitzgerald has talked to the Cardinals about bringing in Braylon Edwards. With Edwards alongside him in the Cardinals’ offense, Fitzgerald could get back to Pro Bowl status once again.
