Denver Broncos @ Tennessee Titans Sun. Sept. 25, 2011 1 p.m. EST
Coming into Week 3 of the NFL regular season, the Denver Broncos are a team with a new head coach and a new attitude, but no identity as there is no way to know what you can expect to see from this team week in and week out. The late-game win over the Cincinnati Bengals (24-20) in Week 2 was impressive with the way the team was able to hold off rookie quarterback Andy Dalton from making a comeback in the fourth quarter, but the Bengals are by no means a playoff bound team this season and the Broncos struggled as if Cincinnati was an elite team.
With that being said, the Denver Broncos look as if they could be headed towards another disappointing season this year with some big changes on the horizon, especially at the quarterback position. Not only as the quarterback controversy with Kyle Orton, Brady Quinn and most notably Tim Tebow been a major distraction for this team, but it seems as though the Broncos won’t be able to get on track until Tebow takes over under center.
In Week 3, the Denver Broncos will go on the road for the first time this season as they are set to take on Pro Bowler Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans. The Titans are in a similar position in comparison to the Broncos as it is as transition period, but after their win over the Baltimore Ravens last week, the Titans are definitely the better all-around football team.
As of right now, the Tennessee Titans are favored with a -7 point spread. This might seem high, but it could be right on the money with the Titans coming into their own with Matt Hasselback under center and Kenny Britt downfield.
My Pick: Take the Titans at -7
