New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles Sun. Sept. 25, 2011 1 p.m. EST
The Philadelphia Eagles have gotten a lot of attention in the first two weeks of the NFL regular season and for good reason as they are arguably the most talented team in the NFL on both sides of the football. Despite losing to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2, the Eagles are still considered to be amongst the league’s elite class and a legitimate Super Bowl title contender, but the major concern for head coach Andy Reid and company has been the health of superstar quarterback Michael Vick who was knocked out of last week’s game against his former team with a concussion.
Reportedly, the Philadelphia Eagles have put Michael Vick through numerous tests this week to see if he would be good to go for Week 3’s NFC East showdown with the New York Giants and the results have been better than expected as the Pro Bowl gunslinger appears to ready to get back under center.
Without Michael Vick, the Eagles are a somewhat flawed football team on offense with no real threat in the air attack since backup Vince Young is also injured, but with Vick in the game the Eagles are clear favorites to get the best of their division rivals in Week 3.
As of right now, the spread is even for this game with the status of Michael Vick not officially being released with a few more days before game time, but the Eagles will come out on top regardless.
My Pick: Take the Eagles when the spread changes on Saturday.
