Miami Dolphins @ Cleveland Browns Sun. Sept. 25, 2011 1 p.m. EST
The AFC East division is has been a two-team division for quite some time with the New England Patriots and the New York Jets being by far the best teams and the only contenders for the division title every single season, but this year things seem to be changing as the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills are emerging as legitimate forces to be reckoned with. Admittedly, the Dolphins and the Bills have a long way to go before they can contend with the likes of the Patriots and the Jets, but they have definitely started to close the gap with impressive starts to the season.
The Miami Dolphins might be 0-2 coming into Week 3’s showdown with the Cleveland Browns, but they are much better team than their record reflects. With quarterback Chad Henne starting to come into his own as the leader of this football team under center and the Dolphins having a strong running game led by Reggie Bush, this Miami squad might be able to contend for a playoff spot this season if they can start to turn things around.
Even though the Dolphins look like they are a team on the rise in the NFL they will have their work cut out for them in Week 3 against an up-and-coming Browns squad led by second-year quarterback Colt McCoy and Pro Bowl running back Peyton Hillis.
As of right now, the Cleveland Browns are favored to win this matchup with a -3 point spread. This seems to be right on the money in my opinion as they are the better all-around squad.
My Pick: Take the Browns -3
