Denver Broncos @ Green Bay Packers Sun. Oct. 2, 2011 4:15 p.m. EST
The defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers are on a roll as of late with Aaron Rodgers and company living up to the hype and getting out to a perfect 3-0 start in their title defense. The Packers defense isn’t as good as many people anticipated it to be this season with a healthy core of players back and ready to compete, but it has been good enough to hold off legitimate contender New Orleans Saints, rookie phenom Cam Newton and the arch rival Chicago Bears.
In Week 4, the Green Bay Packers will have another opportunity to keep their undefeated record intact as they will go up against the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have shown signs of promise at times this season, but they are still a very flawed football team that is in need of an overhaul on the offensive side of the football in my opinion.
There is no question and no don’t in my mind that the Green Bay Packers are the better all-around football team coming into this Week 4 matchup as they should dominate offensively by putting up a lot of points on the scoreboard. Aaron Rodgers should have another big day with multiple touchdowns, but it will be the Packers defense that will need to step up in order to contain quarterback Kyle Orton and a potentially potent offense of the Broncos.
As of right now, the Green Bay Packers have the edge in this matchup with a -13 point spread. That spread is high, but if any team in the NFL can cover it is the Packers.
My Pick: Take the Packers at -13
