Miami Dolphins @ San Diego Chargers Sun. Oct. 2, 2011 4:15 p.m. EST
The San Diego Chargers came into this NFL regular season with high hopes of getting back on track and reclaiming their title in the AFC West division. With the Oakland Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs having breakout seasons last year, the Chargers took a step back and struggled to close out games.
After missing the playoffs and failing to win the AFC West division title, the Chargers were a disappointment, but in the first three weeks of this season Philip Rivers and company have won two out of their last three and look like a legitimate playoff contender in the AFC Conference once again.
In Week 4, the San Diego Chargers have a great chance of improving their record to 3-1 as they will be taking on the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins got off to a promising start to the season by taking the division rival New England Patriots the distance in Week 1 with an impressive performance from quarterback Chad Henne, Miami will head into Week 4 against the San Diego Chargers winless and are most likely headed toward their fourth straight loss of the season.
As of right now, the San Diego Chargers are heavily favored to come out on top in Week 4 with a -9 point spread. That spread is fairly high, but I believe the Chargers are more than capable of covering this large spread and are a solid bet.
Take the Chargers at -9
