Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks Sun. Oct. 2, 2011 4:05 p.m. EST
Back in Week 2, the Atlanta Falcons were able to get back to form after beating the Philadelphia Eagles in Michael Vick’s return to the Georgia Dome. This win was thought to be just what the defending NFC South division champions needed to get back on track as one of the elite teams in the league, but in Week 3 things got rocky once again against the division rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The NFC South division showdown between the Falcons and Bucs was a low-scoring affair with both teams battling it out defensively, but in the end Josh Freeman was able to lead his talented young team to victory on the Bucs home field. This loss was pretty devastating to the Falcons as it proved that Matt Ryan and company still needed to work on some things in order to compete with the best of the best in the NFC Conference this season, but they should be able to bounce back in Week 4 against the lowly Seattle Seahawks.
The Seattle Seahawks are coming off their first win of the season against the division rival Arizona Cardinals, but they will be totally outmatched in Week 4 going up against a hungry Atlanta Falcons team looking to get back to .500 and prove the rest of the league that they are still amongst the elite teams in the NFL.
As of right now, the Atlanta Falcons are favored to come out on top in this one with a -5 point spread. Even though the Falcons have struggled offensively this season, I would say this is a safe bet.
Take the Falcons at -5
