Miami Dolphins @ Kansas City Chiefs Sun. Nov. 6, 2011 1 p.m. EST

As one of two teams in the NFL without a win heading into Week 9, the Miami Dolphins are seriously in desperation mode at this point in time and need a win just to get some kind of momentum going in the right direction. The Dolphins may be one of the leaders in the race for promising Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, but no team in the NFL wants to go winless for an entire season or even in their first seven games.

In Week 9, the Miami Dolphins will have to go on the road to try and record their first win as they are set to travel to Kansas City to take on the resurgent Chiefs. Even though the Chiefs got off to a rough start to the season and have been devastated by injuries to big-name players on both sides of the football, Matt Cassel and company have been able to get back on track as of late with four straight wins over the Minnesota Vikings (22-17), Indianapolis Colts (28-24), Oakland Raiders (28-0) and the San Diego Chargers (23-20 OT).

The last two wins were very significant for the Kansas City Chiefs as they were over divisional opponents and as a result have created a three-way tie atop the AFC West division. With a win over the Dolphins, the Chiefs might be able take hold of the top spot and created some distance between the Raiders and the Chargers.

Our Predictions for Dolphins vs Chiefs

As of right now, the Kansas City Chiefs are favored to get the win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 9 with a -5 point spread. This spread is right on the money in money opinion as the Chiefs should win and cover.

Take the Chiefs at -5.
