Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears Sun. Nov. 13, 2011 4:15 p.m. EST

With a 6-2 record and a second place standing in the NFC North division, the Detroit Lions are the new second-best team in the division. There is no question that the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers are the best team in the NFC North and the entire NFL for that matter, but there has been some debate about the second-best team and on Sunday that might be discovered as the Detroit Lions look to prove it on the football field in the Windy City against the rival Chicago Bears.

Last Monday night, the Chicago Bears put on a show that surprised most people around the NFL as they were able to beat the Philadelphia Eagles in convincing fashion. Not only did the Bears’ defense come to life and put superstar quarterback Michael Vick on his back all night long, but the offense of Chicago also stepped up with Jay Cutler coming into his own against the Eagles’ defense.

With the win over the Eagles, the Bears have turned some heads and have gotten a lot of people interested in what will happen this Sunday when Chicago plays host to Detroit. Now that the Lions have gotten a much-needed bye week out of the way, this Detroit team could be very scary for any opposing squad from here on out.

As of right now, the Chicago Bears are favored to get the win in Week 10 over the division rival Detroit Lions with a -3 point spread. The Bears could very well win, but I believe the Lions will view this as a statement game and pull off the slight upset.

My Pick: Take the Lions at +3
