San Francisco 49ers @ Baltimore Ravens Thurs. Nov. 24, 2011 8:20 p.m. EST
One of the most intriguing matchups of Week 12 will be one of the three games that will take place on Thanksgiving Day. Obviously, everyone wants to see whether or not the up-and-coming Detroit Lions can end the Green Bay Packers hopes for a perfect season, but I’m betting that the must-see game on Turkey Day will be the Battle of the Harbaugh brothers with the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Baltimore Ravens.
As arguably one of the biggest surprise teams of the season, the San Francisco 49ers has been virtually unstoppable this year with new head coach Jim Harbaugh calling the shots on the sidelines. With the NFC West division title and a playoff spot basically already wrapped up with an extremely impressive 8-1 record, the San Francisco 49ers will be looking to prove that they can play with one of the elite teams in the league on Thursday as they will head to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens have been pretty streaky this season with some unexpected losses to teams like the Tennessee Titans (26-13, Week 1), Jacksonville Jaguars (12-7, Week 7) and the Seattle Seahawks (22-17, Week 10), but when they are firing on all cylinders this team is as tough to beat as any team in the league this season.
Coming off a win against the division rival Cincinnati Bengals, the Baltimore Ravens seem to be back to form, but I believe they will have their hands full against a very talented and motivated San Francisco 49ers squad that has lost one game all season long.
As of right now, the Baltimore Ravens are the favorites to get the win on Thanksgiving Day with a -3 point spread. Even though the Ravens could come out on top, I’m betting on the upset.
My Pick: Take the 49ers at +3
