Carolina Panthers @ Indianapolis Colts Sun. Nov. 27, 2011 1 p.m. EST

This season has gone in completely different directions for the Carolina Panthers and the Indianapolis Colts. The Panthers were in desperate need of a potential superstar to turn around the struggling NFL franchise and they got just that in the form of rookie phenom Cam Newton out of Aubun. The Colts on the other hand were hoping to contend for a Super Bowl title this season, but lost four-time NFL MVP quarterback Peyton Manning to neck surgery and haven’t won a single game all season.

Coming into Week 12, these two teams will go head-to-head between a team on the rise and a team falling from elite status. Even though Cam Newton has been a breath of fresh air for the struggling Panthers, Carolina has only won two games all year long and need to get back on track as soon as possible to keep the confidence of their superstar rookie quarterback high moving forward.

The Indianapolis Colts are hoping that Week 12 is the week that things will turn around. Without Peyton Manning under center, this once dominant team has completely fallen apart and is in danger of going winless for an entire season. Not only could the Colts possibly lose every game this season, but they might be in for drastic change if given the number one overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft which could very well be Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.

There is no doubt that the Colts have a chance to finally get back to their winning ways this weekend on their home field against the Panthers, but Carolina will most likely get their third win of the year against this struggling team in Indianapolis.

As of right now, the Carolina Panthers have been given the edge with a -4 point spread.

My Picks: Take the Panthers at -4
