New York Giants @ New Orleans Saints Mon. Nov. 28, 2011 8:30 p.m. EST
Last week’s Monday Night Football matchup was a disappointment to say the least as the New England Patriots absolutely dominated the lowly Kanas City Chiefs and cruised to a 34-3 victory. This week that probably won’t be the case as two very good NFC Conference teams will go head-to-head on the main stage with the New Orleans Saints defending their home field at the Superdome against the New York Giants.
After taking the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers to the brink of a loss in the season opener back in Week 1, the New Orleans Saints had a confidence about them moving forward, but have had times in which they have really struggled against teams they should’ve easily beaten.
Fortunately, the Saints were able to get back on track two weeks ago against the division rival Atlanta Falcons by beating Matt Ryan and company in overtime, 26-23. This win was huge for many reasons, but mainly due to the fact that it may have clinched the NFC South division title for Sean Payton’s squad.
In Week 12, the New Orleans Saints will be tested again after a much-needed bye week as they will try to figure out a way to take down the New York Giants. As of right now, the New Orleans Saints are the favorites to win with a -7 point spread. Even though the Giants are capable of pulling off the upset, the Saints are firing on all cylinders right now and should get the win while covering the spread.
My Picks: Take the Saints at -7
