Kansas City Chiefs @ Chicago Bears Sun. Dec. 4, 2011 1 p.m. EST

The Chicago Bears and the Kansas City Chiefs are two teams that have suffered enormous losses as of late at the quarterback position. With starters Matt Cassel and Jay Cutler going down for the season with injuries, the Chiefs and the Bears have been forced to go with different quarterbacks under center for the rest of the season and so far the results have not been promising.

At this point in time, the Chiefs are a long shot for the playoffs as they have slipped down to third place in the AFC West division while the Oakland Raiders (1st place) and the Denver Broncos (2nd place) have been red-hot over the last month or so. With that being said, the Chiefs are just trying to get through the season, but were able to pick up veteran quarterback and former Bears starter Kyle Orton for the rest of the year.

As for the Chicago, the Bears were within striking distance of clinching a playoff spot in the NFC Conference and still could be with a 7-4 record and third place standing in the NFC North division. The division title is basically out of the question with the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers undefeated (11-0) coming into Week 13, but getting an NFC Wild Card spot isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

As of right now, the Chicago Bears have been favored to get the win in Week 13 with a -7 point spread. Even though the Bears should come out on top, I believe it won’t be easy with Caleb Haine under center.

My Pick: Take the Chiefs at +7
