Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots Sun. Dec. 4, 2011 1 p.m. EST
Ever since superstar quarterback Tom Brady and Peyton Manning became two of the elite gunslingers in the NFL the annual matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots has been one that every avid NFL football marks on their calendar regardless of whether or not they like the Colts or the Patriots.
With these two teams being amongst the elite in the AFC Conference and arguably the two best offenses in the NFL, this game is always a battle, but this season things are much different with Peyton Manning helpless on the sidelines. Now that the Colts have had to play without their four-time NFL MVP under center, the Indianapolis franchise hasn’t been able to win a game all season long with an ugly 0-11 record coming into Week 13’s showdown with the New England Patriots.
The Patriots on the other hand have been as advertised with an impressive 8-3 record, first place standing in the AFC East division and three straight wins heading in this matchup with the Colts. There is no question that the scales weigh heavily in favor of New England this time around as the Indianapolis will be arguably Tom Brady’s easiest challenge this season.
As of right now, the New England Patriots are heavy favorites with a -21 point spread. The Patriots might be able to pull this off, but the safe bet would be to go with the Colts.
My Pick: Take the Colts at +21
