Oakland Raiders @ Miami Dolphins Sun. Dec. 4, 2011 1 p.m. EST

The Oakland Raiders are one the verge of clinching a playoff spot for the first time since back in 2002 when they were able to go all the way to the Super Bowl. With a 7-4 record and being in first place in the AFC West division, the Raiders will basically control their own fate as long as they can stay ahead of Tim Tebow’s Denver Broncos (6-5).

Now that veteran quarterback Carson Palmer seems to be back to form and comfortable in the offense, the Raiders are comfortable offensively and shouldn’t have much trouble in the scoring department from here on out. With the Broncos hot on their trail though, there will be little room for error from here on out as the last five games will basically be must-win situations.

In Week 13, the Raiders will travel to Miami to take on the resurgent Dolphins. Even though the Dolphins have been arguably one of the worst teams in the league this season with a pitiful offense and multiple season-ending injuries at the quarterback position, the struggling NFL franchise has come back to life as of late with three wins in the last four games.

With the recent resurgence of Miami over the past month or so, the Dolphins have become a force to be reckoned with once again and have been favored to win this matchup with a -3 point spread. Despite the Dolphins being impressive lately, I believe the Raiders get their eighth win this weekend in Miami.

My Pick: Take the Raiders at +3
