NFL Week 13: Lions @ Saints
Detroit Lions @ New Orleans Saints Sun. Dec. 4, 2011 8:20 p.m. EST

The Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints are two of the best offensive teams in the NFL this season with the ability to light up the scoreboard on any given Sunday. With Drew Brees and company coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, the Saints seem to be firing on all cylinders and are ready to reclaim the NFC South division title at season’s end.

In Week 13, the Saints will be playing at home once again at the Superdome as they will play host to the up-and-coming Detroit Lions. With the Lions coming off a loss to the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving Day, Matthew Stafford and company will try to quickly bounce back in order to stay in the running for a playoff spot in the NFC Conference with the NFC Wild Card.

Even though this should be a fairly even matchup between two potent offenses that can score 40+ points every week, the Lions will have a big disadvantage coming into this game due to their defense. With All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Sub being suspended for this game, the Lions defense might find it hard to contain a quarterback like Drew Brees.

As of right now, the New Orleans Saints are the favorites to get the win in Week 13 with a -9 point spread. Even though the Saints might have a field day without Suh on defense, the Lions should make this competitive.

Take the Lions at +9.
