San Francisco 49ers @ Arizona Cardinals Sun. Dec. 11, 2011 4:05 p.m. EST
The NFC West division used to be dominated by the Arizona Cardinals a few years ago with future Hall of Famer Kurt Warner under center. After the retirement of the perennial Pro Bowler, the Cardinals became one of the worst teams in the league with little hope of contending for a playoff spot or the NFC West division title. This season things were supposed to change with the acquisition of quarterback Kevin Kolb, but the transition has been rough with Arizona continuing.
Last week the Arizona Cardinals were able to get on the winning side of things once again as they were able to beat the Dallas Cowboys in overtime. Even though this wasn’t a convincing win over a formidable opponent, it was definitely step in the right direction for this team and might have given them some momentum moving forward.
In Week 14, the Arizona Cardinals will face arguably their toughest test of the season as they would go head-to-head against the division rival San Francisco 49ers. With the 49ers coming on strong this season and supporting the second-best record in the NFL coming into Week 14, the Cardinals are in trouble and might be on the verge of getting dominated on their home field in Arizona.
As of right now, the San Francisco 49ers is favored to get the win in this NFC West division battle with a -4 point spread. This is a lock in my opinion!
My Pick: Take the 49ers at -4
