Copa Libertadores: Fluminense vs. Arsenal de Sarandi

in Football, Latest News

It’s the start of the season in the South American Copa Libertadores and we will see Fluminense host Arsenal de Sarandi in this first round matchup.

The last time these two teams played against each other was during the 2008 season and Fluminense won that home game with a comfortable 6-0. I wouldn’t really say I expect a repeat of that game here but Fluminense are still to be considered big favorites in this opening game.

Even though Fluminense lost in a chocking upset in the last game of the 2011 season against Libertad I think they have gotten over that by now and are ready to take on the new season. Fluminense added Thiago Neves to their team during the offseason and he will surely prove to be an important part of their offensive game later on in the season.

The Predictions

It’s probably clear to all of you by now that I favor the Fluminense squad to go victorious from this opening clash in the Copa Libertadores. Their offense is as strong as the opponents defense is weak so this could only go one way. I would actually be surprised if Arsenal manage to score in this game.

The score: Fluminense 3 – Arsenal de Sarandi 0

A Helpful Tip from One Punter to Another

The online betting site Bet365 have renewed their contract with the South American soccer league for another season which means that they will be streaming all of the games live on their website completely free of charge (well almost). All you need to do in order to get access to all the live streams the entire season is to make a minimum deposit to your Bet365 account. Personally I think that’s a pretty cheap price to pay to get access to a whole season worth of Copa Libertadores live streams. And obviously you will be able to place bets on the games with the money you have deposited.
