Chris eagles moves from burnley to rangersToday it has been confirmed that Burnley has accepted a bid for Chris Eagles from Rangers. Brian Laws, the Burnley manager will hold talks with the 24 year old winger in an attempt to keep the player at Burnley.

Laws stated: “Clearly he is a talented player and one I do not want to sell.

“Clearly, he will make the best decision for him and his family, because ultimately it will be the player’s decision whether he stays with us or not,” said Laws.

“But he is a crowd favourite here and I hope that plays a part in his decision.”

“But we have a serious financial offer and, with only 12 months left on his deal, we have to be aware that he could walk away next summer for nothing.”

Debt ridden Rangers have not paid a transfer fee in over 2 years so it is perhaps surprising that they have made a “substantial offer” for Eagles.

Should he decide to join Rangers, it would be the first time the debt-hit Scottish champions have paid a transfer fee in almost two years.

We expect the transfer to be completed within the next few days.
