Manchester City In Talks With RamiresManchester City are being linked to every world class football player in the world. Rumours suggest that now they are in advanced talks to sign Brazilian midfielder Ramires from Benfica. Manchester City had been perusing Milner from Aston Villa although it seems that Milner will stay at Villa hence City’s interest in Ramires.

City will have to fight for Ramires as there also has been interest in the player from Real Madrid, Fiorentina and even Chelsea. Benfica have put a price tag of £30 million on Ramires who only cost them £5 million from Brazilian side Cruzerio only a year ago.

Despite Brazil’s failure in the recent World Cup, Ramires shone during the 4 games he played for Brazil.

A UK newspaper, The Mirror is reporting that there have been talks between Ramire’s agent and City. Ramire’s agent has already done business with City with the £19 million signing of striker Jo from CSKA Moscow.

Rumours suggest that City have offered Benfica £22 million which is below Benfica’s asking price of £30 million. Ramires does have a buy-out clause of £30 million written in to his contract.
