Andy Hamilton, the World number 7 simply can’t get enough of the city of Derby. Since relocating to Derby he says his game has gone from strength to strength. So what is it about Derby that has helped Andy so much? The water from the Derwent? The fresh air from the Peak District or just the change of scenery? Well I’m sorry to say it is none of these. Andy simply moved to Derby to be closer to regular practice partner Colin Osborne and that seems to be the reason his game has improved.
“I’ve only got family holding me in Stoke so it made sense,” Hamilton told BBC Radio Stoke. “I moved to where Colin is and its paid dividends.
“Since I moved there in February my game has come on leaps and bounds.
“It’s a new challenge and it’s worked out, because sometimes you can get a bit stale,” Hamilton added.
“Colin and I push each other all the time and we’re such good friends, we’re like brothers in a way.”
