Australia vs Pakistan 1st Test Odds & Preview

Australia plays Pakistan in a 2 Test series on neutral soil in England with the first of 2 Tests starting today. Click Here For Full Odds. Pakistan will have tremendous support for both Tests plus have recovered from what can only be described as a disastrous tour of Australia 6 months ago. Pakistan now perhaps have a psychological edge, after beating the lack lustre Aussies in the T20 series. Perhaps we are seeing the end of the Aussie’s reign as the world best cricket team. There simply has not been a better time to bet against the Aussies! We tip Pakistan to win the first test at a massive 9/2 (5.50)

Pakistan Test Series Win Odds

Shahid Afridi has been absent from Test cricket for over four years. As the new Pakistan Captain he has the ability to inspire Pakistan to a test series victory. Remember Pakistan have nothing to lose plus will have tremendous support for both Tests. Also remember the Aussie’s are simply not the force they use to be.

Pakistan are 11/2(6.50) to win the series which is simply superb value. Better still Pakistan are 8/1(9.00) to win the series 1-0 and 25/1(26.00) to win the series 2-0.

Teams

Australia

Shane Watson, Simon Katich, Ricky Ponting (capt), Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Marcus North, Tim Paine (wk), Steven Smith, Mitchell Johnson, Ben Hilfenhaus, Doug Bollinger.

Pakistan

Imran Farhat, Salman Butt, Umar Amin, Azhar Ali, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi (capt), Kamran Akmal (wk), Mohammad Aamer, Umar Gul, Danish Kaneria, Mohammad Asif.

Statistics

Pakistan’s last victory over Australia in a Test was in November 1995

The last neutral Test in England was back 1912

Best Free Bets

Totesport – £25 Free

England vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI Odds & Tips

During the last few weeks England have reached the highs by beating the top teams in the world, then almost hit rock bottom when they lost to Bangladesh last week. If England lose today then many feel that the momentum the team have built up this year will be lost. England need to win and they know it! Perhaps in some ways defeat to Bangladesh may be of benefit as it should act as a catalyst to refocus the team.

Let’s forget England’s last performance as I believe that was simply a “one off”. England will win, of that I’m sure.

England vs Bangladesh ODI Odds

England To Win Totesport 1/7(1.14) Victor Chandler 1/10(1.10)

Bangladesh To Win Totesport 9/2(5.50) Victor Chandler 6/1(7.00)

England vs Bangladesh Value Bet

Ravi Bopara celebrated his call up to England’s ODI side by smashing a huge 105 for Essex in their t20 clash with Somerset. Many feel Bopara has been unlucky not to be a regular in the England team so he has it all to prove.

Back Ravi Bopara – Top England Batsman – Totesport 8/1 (9.00)

Ian Bell returned to one day international cricket, top scoring with 84 not out from 101 balls. England managed to hold Bangladesh to 250-9 on a good scoring wicket only needing just over 45 overs to win the first match of the series.

The game was marred by two injuries to Bangladesh players. Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim and batsman Raqibul Hasan suffered nasty injuries.

Mushfiqur was struck in the eye by a delivery from slow left-armer Faisal Hossain which turned and bounced. He was stretchered off with Junaid Siddique taking over wicket keeping duties. Raqibul was injured when he was struck on his instep by a James Anderson yorker.

Shane Warne believes that England have their best chance for over 20 years to win the Ashes in Australia this winter. England last Ashes win in Australia was way back in 1987 but Warne states that England at the moment have an edge of Australia.

“It’s been a long time since they had the edge on us in all forms of the game,” said Warne.

“England played outstanding cricket in the recent one-day series.”

Warne also praised England’s off-spinner Swann stating that he was the man who could guide England to an Ashes win this winter..

“He is the most improved cricketer,” stated Warne.

“He mixes his pace, he’s not afraid to be hit, he’s learning all the time in difficult conditions.

“As a spinner, he needs to know how to take wickets at the crucial times. There are times to defend and attack. But, if in doubt, attack and that’s what I like about him.

“His special ability is his quicker delivery – he spins it. That’s rare for a spin bowler. Generally, the slower you bowl, the more you spin it.

“But Swann can turn it when he bowls faster.”

Pakistan claimed the Twenty20 series against a jaded Australia side with an easy 11 run win at Edgbaston. Pakistan batted first which resulted in a modest score of 162-9 leaving the game wide open. Once again though Australia were proved to lack fire power. Australia were scuttled out for 151 unable to cope with the Pakistan attack.

There was some resistant from Australia with James Hope hitting 30 and David Hussey hitting 33 during a partnership of 50 although Australia lost too many wickets at vital times. Just a few years ago Pakistan could not even come close to beating Australia. Now though they have beaten then twice almost easily.
