Reports suggest that Formosina will be targeting the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket’s July festival on Friday. Trainer Jeremy Noseda was reported to be after pleased with Formosina’s recent workouts.

Formosina has been in fine form recently winning the Railway Stakes by narrowly beating Samuel Morse by at short-head at the Curragh.

It was thought that the horse would run in the Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood prior to switching up to seven furlongs. This though is not the case.
Noseda said: “He pleased me in his breeze [on Monday morning] and we feel that as he has taken his last race so well we should take our chance in the Superlative.

“Ryan Moore will ride and hopefully the move up to seven furlongs will suit, as will the quick ground.”
